Credited as Atlanta’s first local Certified Intimacy Coordinator. Certified with IDC, she had the pleasure of training directly under Alicia Rodis. Throughout her career, Samantha has utilized movement in storytelling on stage and for TV/film through such titles as; Intimacy Coordinator, SAG-AFTRA Stunt Performer, Stunt Coordinator, Actor, Director, Fight Director, movement coach, writer, fight choreographer, teaching artist.
Samantha continues to promote safe practices on set by being a local SAG-AFTRA board member as well as serving on the local SAG-AFTRA Stunt & Safety Committee, and on the Working & Wages Committee. She is part of the ongoing conversation with SAG-AFTRA, actively creating stronger protections for performers in scenes involving nudity and simulated sex, as well as creating standards and protocols for the use of Intimacy Coordinators.
She is also a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors, a founding member of The Suitcase Shakespeare Company in Chicago, and a founding member/creator of the two woman sword fighting act The Steele Sisters. With a BA in Musical Theater Performance and a Directing minor from Columbia College Chicago, she is always pursuing her education through endless self study opportunities.
